EVERLINK’S MOBILE DEBIT CARD MANAGEMENT SERVICE – LOCK’N’BLOCK® – AWARDED ACT CANADA’S PEOPLE’S CHOICE INNOVATION AWARD 

MARKHAM, ON, MAY 8, 2018 – Everlink Payment Services Inc. announced today that their mobile debit card management solution, Lock’N’Block®, has won the ACT Canada People’s Choice Innovation Award. The ACT Canada Innovation Awards recognize the leading innovations in the Canadian payments industry, and the creativity and ingenuity of companies that received nominations. The People's Choice Award is given to the innovative nominee that wins the most votes from the public. Due to this voting process, it’s very much appreciated that this recognition comes from Everlink clients and Canadians who have benefitted from this service.

HOW IT WORKS

Lock’N’Block® provides cardholders with the ability to control access to their debit cards, when and where they want, through their mobile phone or online banking.

Cardholders control debit card access by simply logging into their mobile or online banking application and clicking on the Lock’N’Block® icon. The screen will then display a page that shows an image of the card that they have “Registered” and a toggle that will allow the cardholder to “Lock” or “Unlock” their debit card. 

Lock’N’Block® has been designed with many blocking features. Cardholders can lock their card completely or specifically from international use while allowing domestic transactions. Lock’N’Block® blocks debit card transactions within the Everlink payment transaction processing system and has been designed to not interfere with other Fraud Management System actions. Lock’N’Block® works on Apple™ and Android™ devices, and includes support for Everlink’s DebitWear™ contactless debit wristband.
